Her performance as Emily Hartley, a TV host for the series from 1972 to 1978 in The Bob Newhart Show was one of her most popular roles. Pleshette was Christine Broderick's main character in Nightingales (1989). From 1994 until 1995, she played Jackie Hansen's character in The Boys Are Back. Pleshette was a regular in the TV series Suzanne Pleshette. She played Maggie Briggs and Good Morning, Miami. 8 Simple Rules, Will & Grace were also some of her characters. She also appeared in The Geisha Boy, and The Birds. In recognition of her singing in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride she was nominated to win an Annie Award. Pleshette received nominations for two Golden Globe Awards.
